Why didn't I think of this before?

Many months ago, I ordered a huge boxful of chipboard shadowboxes. Annie alerted me that they were on sale really cheap somewhere on line, and I jumped on them. I've used them up gradually for my mini- and micro-quilts. This weekend, I was down to the last three, and I got this brainstorm. What if I didn't paint them? What if I covered them in quilting cottons that coordinated with the mini-quilts?

I dragged them outside and sprayed them with adhesive. Then I wrapped them like packages in pretty fat quarters. LOVE them. Dang it. Why didn't I think of this months ago. I wish I'd done them all this way.

Some of the pieces with painted frames have already sold. Those that linger are probably going to get taken apart and wrapped in fabric.

Oh! Wow!! That is so pretty! Kind of like a little fabric garden. I love the fabric covered chipboard idea.
