Julie Anne rocks

AREtsy Julie Anne Stillwell, aka Diamondmeeah Creations, hosted a street team get-together at her home in northwest Arkansas recently. Julie Anne is now in the midst of a move to Washington state, and she wanted a last fling (so to speak) with her Arkie buds. I wasn't able to make it up to her part of the state that day, and I was pretty disgruntled about it.

Julie Anne had made not only lots of food but also lots of handmade favors for her guests. A few days after the event, I got a box in the mail with Julie Anne's return address. I hadn't ordered anything that week, so what was up? The box contained two favor bags from the party--a consolation to Anne and me for having to miss it.

Here's what she sent. They are too adorable. Each favor consists of a handmade paper gift bag with Julie Anne's business logo on the front. Inside is a handmade game board, a paper "cootie catcher," two origami dice, and six origami jumping frogs. And accompanying these tidbits is a set of darling instructions for making up your own game.

I immediately sent Julie Anne a convo, thanking her for the fab present and asking for her permission to copy her idea for the Jennifer Project. Wouldn't the kids in Arkansas Children's Hospital have fun making up their own games with these components!

Well, you know Julie Anne--always ready to jump in and help. As it turned out, she had made quite a few too many goodie bags for her get-together and she had more leftovers. So she boxed them up, and I had them in hand in just a day or two. Julie Anne originals, all ready to go for the Jennifer Project.

Thank you, thank you, girlfriend for this precious and generous donation to lifting the spirits of our state's young cystic fibrosis patients. As always, you rock!

Yep, Julie Anne DOES rock!!! I've never had the chance to meet her in person, but sad that she's moving so far away.

My game that I made at her get together is THE BOMB! I never, in a million years, thought that I'd be going over there to make up a game. It was a ton of fun, Julie had awesome and healthy foodage, and she was a great hostess.

I'm just happy the kids are happy (which includes all the Ya-Ya's, Denise, and Anne, too). And, since I'll still be living in the 'NOrth West', I can't possibly be THAT far away :-) [she types from the motel bed in Amarillo, Texas]
