I am so excited to have a bitty one to sew for again.
My friend Heather mentioned having found some sweet pillowcase dresses for her daughter, Addison, who is almost four months old. But the prices were outrageous. I thought I knew what she was talking about, but I hit the Web to make sure. Oh, yeah. I can do that. So I sent Heather an e-mail and said, "Let me make Addie some pillowcase dresses!"
Then, as usual, I got carried away. Annie gave me some patterns. I hit the 99-cent drawer at Hobby Lobby. I now have a bundle of classic baby patterns that I can't wait to use. And the fabric I ordered just arrived. Just look!
It's all cotton plisse from the Tutti Fruiti line. I'm not making Addie that many outfits. (Yet.) The prints are in pairs--one for the dress, another for the trim and bloomers. And I've got a piece of vintage fabric coming in to do a July 4th dress for her. Candy!
This is definitely going to be a sewing weekend.

ooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!! Wanna come over and help! I even know what a 'continuous lap' is now! Uh no, it's not somebody with a really, really big lap as I first suspected ;-)
My sister in law has me finish baby outfit patterns for her that she's cut out 3 to 5 year ago, lost the instructions and a couple of pieces on, and isn't in the mood for finishing, but doesn't want to throw them out either. See, resume of experience! :-)
Those colors are so pretty! What a lovely wardrobe Miss Addie is going to have!
I need to find a pattern... I'm thinking about making some little girl dresses with all this fabric I have. The bags sure aren't leaping off the shelves... *grumble*
Oh, make pillowcase dresses! You don't even need a pattern. And they are HOT!
