I found AREtsy

I keep seeing articles in Etsy's newsletter, The Storque, about "street teams." My superficial understanding was that these were community groups of various kinds that organized Etsy-based activities. Yesterday, I saw a little article about improvements in the street team web site, so I went over there to find out more about this Etsyism. And there were the Etsy Arkansans, neatly organized and easy to reach. Yea!

I immediately joined the Arkansas team, AREtsy, and got onto its Yahoo group. It looks like the Arkansas team has been going only since July, but it's growing fast. I'm so excited to have this new way to connect with Arkansas artists and crafters and keep up with what's going on around here. I've poked around on the other members' sites--there's some amazing stuff out there. And I found that several folks have blogs. I've added those to my list in the right-hand column. Very cool.

I also asked to be placed on the EtsyBloggers street team. Connecting with those members wasn't as immediately clear, but I'm looking forward to finding out more about them. If I'm lucky, I'll find so many great blogs that I'll have to take my links out of the right column and make them a page of their own!
